Ingredients: (makes 4 Toasts)
1 large Red Plum
1 sheet Puff Pastry Thawed Dough (I use Pepperidge Farm Frozen Dough)
4 tsp. Granulated Sugar
1 tbsp. Butter
1 large Egg
Instructions:
PREHEAT oven to 425F
Take thawed puff pastry dough and cut into equal quarters
Cut plum into quarters and then slice those quarters into thin slices, try to get 5-6 slices our of each quarter
Place puff pastry dough quarters into a baking sheet, I lined mine with a silicone mat so no greasing was necessary. If you are using foil make sure you grease it with additional butter.
Lightly slice an inner square into the puff pastry dough, creating a boarder/”frame”
Place plum slices onto the puff pastry dough, containing the slices within the boarder, leaving a crust. *1 plum quarter per puff pastry square
Beat egg and lightly coat puff pastry dough “crust” with the egg wash.
Cut the 1 tbsp. of butter into 4 equal slices. Place a slice of butter over the plum slices, feel free cut butter into smaller pieces to evenly distribute.
Sprinkle 1 tsp. of granulated sugar over each toast, coating the “crust” and plums.
BAKE for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastry is fully puffed and browned.
ENJOY warm or cold or at room temp! This recipe is truly tasty either way!
